The Blue Devil industrial shredders are designed and manufactured to be the most effective and robust solution for shredding medium-light ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. Bulky scrap is reduced in size creating a twofold positive effect: increased material density and quality and the liberation of valuable non-ferrous metals which can then be easily separated using specific material separation and cleaning equipment (separation lines).

The Blue Devil industrial shredder is constructed from high-strength steel and are the strongest twin shaft shredders in their class. The low shaft speed ensures the transfer of high shredding torques to cut particularly difficult material and achieve unrivalled performance. Digital innovation in Blue Devil twin shaft industrial shredders
The PLC of our industrial shredders combines innovation and automation. The PLC automatically manages the speed change of the shafts according to the resistance encountered during shredding. When it recognises critical working situations such as an overload situation or the introduction of shredder material, it is able to take preventive measures to slow down or reverse the shaft rotation in seconds, preventing damage to the shaft or blades. The PLC also keeps track of performance variables (KPI’s) and monitors alarms and shutdowns caused by overloading. Efficient components and smart technology solutions ensure low running costs and unrivalled performance.
Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence
The PLC is equipped with a responsive 10″ high-definition touch-screen which allows data to be uploaded and stored directly to Zato’s own service portal. Blue Devil applies the most current digital technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Industry 4.0 allowing our technicians to service and maintain the plant, installation and scheduled checks fully remotely. Customer’s requests for assistance are responded to promptly and downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.
