Shredders and plants to processes sheet metal, lasered or stamped (AKA skeleton plate)
Skeleton plate is a material derived from waste or scrap from industrial and mechanical processing, such as stamping and laser cutting.
These scraps, often from the automotive or manufacturing industry, are of high purity. However, their perforated structure and thickness can pose challenges in transportation and recycling requiring densification through cutting.
Slit coil, or slit strip, is a product created by the longitudinal cutting of metal coils. It is widely used in applications such as automotive trim, surgical instruments, and heat exchangers. Known for its high purity and quality, as well as its rust and corrosion resistance, slit coil presents unique challenges in recycling due to its high mechanical strength and hardness.
The term stamped or shop scrap refers to metal residues generated during machining processes such as milling, turning, stamping and other industrial manufacturing methods and can’ be made up of various types of metal including steel, aluminum, copper, brass and other alloys.
To tackle this challenge, we designed the Blue Devil Twin Shaft Shredder, which utilizes low shaft speeds to deliver high shredding torque. This enables it to effectively cut through particularly tough materials, including those with thicknesses of up to 10 mm.
