Our Circular Economy Model

The Circular Economy is a conceptually regenerative industrial economy that tends to actively improve and optimise the systems through which it operates. It is a production and consumption model that aims to ‘extend the life’ of products and raw materials by helping to minimise waste or recycle them. In the circular economy model, once the product has completed its function, the materials from which it is made are reintroduced into the economic cycle and resume generating value, thus limiting extraction costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

At Zato we design efficient solutions for the processing and treatment of industrial waste and scrap, manufacturing and perfecting machines and plants for volume reduction, recycling and reuse of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. We were born and bred within the needs and dynamics of recycling and actively contribute to perfecting processing systems that continuously improve the size and cleanliness of materials to increase their value.

A conscious choice in the corporate environment: Textilsharing

When it came to choosing new workwear, our production department turned towards a solution that not only interpreted safety, protection from the specific risks of each role, but also guaranteed certified quality standards on hygiene and eco-sustainability.

Mewa -a German company that has been textilsharing since 1908- is at the forefront of certifications. This company clothes all sectors of industry and services on health and safety protection for workers.

The garments are made to measure and customised; weekly pick-up, washing using environmentally friendly procedures and, if necessary, repair of worn parts is the interesting part of the service offered by Mewa.

Each of our employees has a wardrobe of work clothes, the garments are made to measure and, thanks to a barcode system, both their identification and any necessary features are ensured. All this ties in with our company policy: sustainability, worker well-being and safety in the workplace are key themes in Zato’s philosophy.
